Leeks and a Lensbaby....4.21.12
For a while now I have been coming to grips with the idea of Photography as a way of storytelling. I have always found some that some of the most powerful images we have seen, usually tell a story. I am constantly evolving as a photographer to become a better storyteller.
This series of photos is from one day of hiking, picking leeks, making leek pesto, eating pesto grilled cheeses made over the fire (no pictures exist, but believe me...they were amazing!), and amazing conversation with four of the best people I know! This is my attempt to have you, the viewer, feel as though you were there. Comment if you feel that way or if you didn't, but comments are always welcome!!
There are also images from 3 out of 4 friends that I only edited, they took the pictures themselves. I love seeing how they capture an image compared to how I would have! And it's fun to get a couple photos of myself with friends on a day like this one!
Forgot to mention... The "blurryness" (yes, it's a technical term) was made by the unique feature of the Lensbaby lens. You can twist the lens itself and move it up, down, left, right, diagonal, ect. It makes for a very interesting effect and is great for some photos and not so great for others. While in the woods, it was the only lens I had so most of the photos have this effect.
