Every Tuesday is open mic night at Old Miami in Detroit. It is also the first hip hop open mic I have been to. There are some real talented people that show up, many of them rapping, some dancing, and some just get up there and read poetry. If you live in Detroit and are interested in hip hop I strongly suggest attending on Tuesdays! This past Tuesday was the 3rd aniversary of the event and was all female artists. Many of whom were incredible artists and poets. Don't let the small collection of photos fool you.... there are plenty of acts every night! I had to leave early.
